Chile ,-- Chile's art critics prize was
awarded to Kurdish director Bahman Ghobadi's
'Turtles Also Fly'.
According to a report released by Chile's Art
Critics Association, which annually awards the best
works in the domains of cinema, literature, theatre
and television, this Iranian movie was selected as
the world's best in 2006 and the first prize was
awarded to its producer, Ghobadi.
'Turtles Also Fly' is an Iranian film, which has so
far been warmly hailed by audience. It has won more
than 37 international prizes.
It is the story of war, children, love and hope and
has been filmed on Iran's joint border with Iraq's
Kurdistan.
Earlier, it grabbed the main prize of Spain's San
Sebastian Festival. Besides, it has been awarded at
Isfahan International Children and New Adults Film
Festival. |
