ESKADENIA launches its Billing & Customer
Relationship Management System at Korek Telecom
Kurdistan, Iraq, September 11, -- Korek
Telecom, a leading telecom operator in the Kurdistan
region (northern Iraq), has started running
Eskadenia’s Billing & Customer Relationship
Management System (BCRM) in the city of Erbil. This
marks the eighth project for Eskadenia in the area
of telecom customer care and billing after its
successful deployments for telecom operators in
Europe and Africa.
The Billing system enables Korek Telecom to
professionally handle all billing services, customer
care functions, interconnect and roaming agreements,
and customer self-care Internet access for post paid
subscribers connected to its GSM network. |

The Eskadenia Billing & Customer Relationship
Management System (BCRM) is a high-performance,
mission-critical software application that enables
real-time billing in telecommunications networks.
The modular software solution comprises Customer
Relationship Management, Marketing, Service
Provisioning, Product & Pricing Management, Rate
Plan Management, Rating, Billing, TAP 3.11 Roaming,
Interconnect and Revenue Sharing modules.
The bilingual Eskadenia system delivered to Korek
Telecom handles Call Details Records for 850,000
subscribers with an option to increase the number of
subscribers with the growth of the network. The
system manages accounts of post-paid subscribers and
handles more than 16,000,000 CDR per day, in
addition to providing an advanced Points of Sale
system.
Eskadenia has also delivered its Web-enabled GSM
Mediation Gateway to Korek Telecom that collects
call data from the switches, converts them into
relevant format, and forwards them to any
destination. Eskadenia Mediation Gateway can be
connected immediately to any switch brand and switch
version. The Mediation Gateway at Korek is
interfaced to Ericsson Mobile Switch Centre (MSC),
Ericsson Base Station Controllers (BSC), Ericsson
Intelligent Network and INVOA SMSC.
The BCRM and Mediation Gateway systems have been
completely designed and developed at Eskadenia in
accordance with both the GSM and CCITT
recommendations for billing and number plan
standards. Additionally, the Billing & Customer
Relationship Management System supports billing for
landline telephony services and Intelligent Network
services. It also supports the billing of customers
by the second, which is an essential value to its
charging capabilities. Both systems have been
deployed on Sun Microsystems hardware platform.
