Baghdad,
September 11, -- After meeting with prominent
Political and Tribal figures, Head of National
Dialogue Council Salih Al-Mutlaq called all Iraqi
citizens without exception to hoist the flag of
their country high on their home roofs and above
their stores and cars as a symbol of Dignity.
The Participants in the meeting extended their
support to Al-Motlaq’s stance and demanded
Kurdistan’s Leader to take back his decision of
lowering the Iraqi flag.
In the opening of the preliminary meeting set up to
put in place a new partnership between Iraq and the
International Community, Deputy Prime Minister
Barham Salih called, in the presence of
representatives of Donor States, United Nations and
European Union, international states to come in the
support of his country.
He feared Iraq would witness a disaster if
reestablishing peace and security in Baghdad fails.
He noted out that the future of the Middle East
region highly depends on the future of Iraq.
This meeting is an attempt for Barham Saleh and
other ministers to convince the International
Community of backing Iraq to improve its weak
economic growth due to the country’s insecurity |
