Ministry for Sport and Youth
launches website on International Youth Day
Erbil, Kurdistan-Iraq, August 12, (KRG) - The
Ministry for Sports and Youth launched its website
and unveiled its vision for Kurdistan’s sports and
youth on International Youth Day (12 August), which
was marked with a magnificent celebration in the
vast Minare Park in Erbil, the Kurdistan Region’s
capital.
In line with the UN Programme on youth, the website
has been set up to: develop and improve awareness of
Kurdistani youth both at a national and
international level; increase their recognition of
basic rights; and promote general youth policies and
further the involvement of youth in decision making
processes at all levels, in order to have a
significant effect on both national development and
international cooperation.
