Syria: Army attacks Kurds

The Syrian regime
started with military operations against Kurds. In
Qamishlo dozens of people were arrested. According
to Netkurd, the Syrian airforce is bombing Kurdish
villages.
28 people are arrested in- and outside of Qamishlo.
With these actions they want to kill the
representative of the Kurdish newspaper Khabat
reported Netkurd.
Cemil Isa, representative of this newspaper in
West-Kurdistan, revealed this news. Unlike in other
parts of Kurdistan, there are no armed groups that
can take revenge on the Syrian regime.
Off course there are weapons in West-Kurdistan, but
not of armed Kurdish groups. |

Some Kurds say an armed opposition group can bring a
solution to the Kurdish issue in Syria
(West-Kurdistan).
Currently Kurds in Syria fight for more Kurdish
rights, but not for autonomy-federalism as in other
parts of Kurdistan.
