Algunerhan (Dilxwaz) lost his life in clashes with
Iranian forces on July 13 in Ciyaye Kosalan, a rural
area outside the city of Meriwan in eastern
Kurdistan (northwestern Iran).
Dilxwaz was born in 1966 in the town of Sancak in
the province of Cewlik (Bingol) in northern
Kurdistan. He joined the Kurdish resistance in 1988
and became an ARGK (PKK’s armed wing) guerrilla in
1991.
He fought in many areas of Kurdistan against both
the Turkish and the Iranian army. He became a
council member of PJAK and worked actively within
the Kurdish resistance in eastern Kurdistan (northwestern
Iran). |
