UN appoints Political Advisor in Kurdistan

Kurdistan-Iraq, -- Dr. Dindar Zebari, the
Kurdistan Regional Coordinator to UN has met Michael
Schulenburg, the UN Special Advisor for Political
Affairs in Iraq.
During the meeting, Dr. Zebari called upon UN to
appoint its political advisor in Kurdistan as
Kurdistan has its own privacy and be obliged to
participate in all international meetings related to
Iraq.
Schulenburg in his side expressed his willingness
for the collaboration between UN and Kurdistan
Regional Government and declared that the UN
political representative would start working very
soon in Hewler (Erbil) to cooperate with Kurdistan
Regional Government, besides it is important to wide
awake the people concerning the constitution through
seminars and meetings. |

Within the framework of Kurdistan Regional
Coordinator visit to Baghdad, Dr. Zebari paid a
visit to the American Embassy in Baghdad and
received by Margaret Scooby, the Political Advisor
in the Embassy, the privacy and the political
practice of Kurdistan in the international community
were discussed in the meeting.
Furthermore, the Kurdistan Region Coordinator met
Jani Milkazini, UN the Human Rights Rapporteur in
Iraq and called the UN official to visit Kurdistan
to observe the human rights in Kurdistan and
participate in meetings and gathering concerning the
human rights.
