Kurdistan-Iraq,
-- In a meeting between the Kurdistan Region's
President and the Iraqi President, current security
conditions in Iraq were discussed as the arrangement
of a committee to normalize the conditions in Kirkuk.
Regarding the participation of Peshmerga forces in
the protection of the security conditions in Iraq,
the Kurdistan Region's President said, "we are ready
to protect security in any part of Iraq, but for the
time being, it is not good to send Peshmerga
personnel to the rest of Iraq,” about the latest
operations by Iran and Turkey on the Kurdistani
borders.
The Iraqi President pointed out the fact that the
central government had voiced their objections to
the embassies of both countries in Baghdad..
The Kurdistan Region's President, Massud Barzani,
stated that bureaus representing the Kurdistan
Regional Government will be opened in Baghdad and
correlating bureaus of the Baghdad Government will
be opened in Kurdistan; and in the near future, a
delegation from the KRG will visit Baghdad in order
to discuss all crucial issues.
Concerning the Arab people who have stayed in
Tuzkhurmatu Town and their impact on Kirkuk, the
Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, said, "These Arabs
have settled there only temporarily and they have
not any effect on the demography of Kirkuk as they
cannot participate in the referendum."
