Turkish president ask Moscow to declare PKK as
terrorist organization

Moscow, 28 June
(AKI) - Turkey's President Ahmet Necdet Sezer
arrived in Russia on Wednesday for the first visit
of a Turkish head-of-state to the Russian Federation
which was created following the disintegration of
the Soviet Union in the early 1990s.
Sezer who is accompanied by Foreign Minister
Abdullah Gul. Energy deals, growing trade between 2
countries and Iran’s nuclear program are expected to
be the top the agenda of Sezer's scheduled meeting
with Russia's President Valdimir Putin.
Sezer is also expected to ask the Russians to take a
more favourable stance on Turkey's relations with
Cyprus, as well as press Moscow to declare the
separatist Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) s a
terrorist organisation, diplomatic sources said.
Sezer will spend two days in Russia, including a
stay in St. Petersburg's on Thursday.
