An illegal immigrant murdered his girlfriend and
stashed her body in a cupboard under the stairs
before dumping it and fleeing the country, a court
was told.
Faruk Farik, 33, of York Road, Southend, is accused
of murdering Lithuanian-born Inga Losiene, 32, by
strangling her with a dressing gown cord at their
home on May 27 last year.
Prosecutor Patricia Lynch QC said he then hid her
body in a cupboard under the stairs before cramming
it into a cardboard box and abandoning it in the
boot of a red Vauxhall Astra, in nearby Riviera
Drive.
Days later, police discovered Inga's decomposed body
with her hands tied, dressed in a bikini and skirt.
