Kurdistan: New electricity schedule for
Erbil in June

Erbil, Kurdistan-Iraq, -- Starting from the
first day of June, 24 hours of electricity will be
provided in each 48 hours in the city of Erbil, the
director of electricity distributions told the daily
Xebat, Sunday, June 4.
This programmed schedule will be applied for the
whole month of June unless unexpected problems
happen to the city’s electricity station. This plan
will be changed after the end of the month.
Erbil receives about 100 mega watts daily from the
main electricity net of Sulaimaniyah and from the Dokan
and Darbandikhan dams. The electricity will be
given to people from 1:00 pm until the same hour on
the next day, and according to electricity
officials in Erbil, the city needs about 400 mega
watts per day.
