Erbil, Kurdistan-Iraq, June
5, 2006, -- President Barzani received Mr. Chung Kinhu, the Korean
Ambassador to Iraq and his accompanying delegation consisting of Mr.
Hum Sung the Korean Deputy Ambassador, Mr. Moon Hiun head of General
Korean Consulate office in Hawler and some Korean Businessmen and
military personals.
Korean Ambassador delivered congratulatory message of Korean
Government to President Barzani on forming new Kurdistan Government.
Korean Ambassador on behalf of Korean Government thanked President
Barzani for his support for Zaytun Division of Korean troops and
stated that relations between Korean Government and Kurdistan
Government would be stronger in all fields day by day.
President Barzani also on behalf of Kurdistan People thanked South
Korea for those cooperating and helps given to Kurdistan People.
The Iraqi Political process and Kurdistan situation were other
agenda. Meanwhile, Korean Ambassador expressed his happiness about
existing peace and secured condition in Kurdistan and described
Kurdistan region as a suitable place for industrial production so
that Korean companies can invest and work in Kurdistan very well.
