Turkey: Prof. Dr. Peach: Chance should be
given to peaceful thought

Kurdistan-Turkey, May 19 (DIHA) , -- Shooting of
pictures by polices in 5th International Assembly on
Missing Persons under Detention and taking identity
information's of relatives of the missing persons
who speak in the assembly encountered by reactions
of foreign delegates.
Lawyer Renetta Hartmann, Representative of ICAD
International Bureau of Germany evaluated the
practise as hindrance to ' freedom of expression'.
Deputy of Parliament of Germany Prof. Dr. Norman
Peach also said that '' State should be open to
criticism and give chance to peaceful thoughts''.
Shooting pictures by polices in the general assembly
held in Baglar Municipality Conference Hall and
taking identity information's of relatives of
missing persons who use words like ''Kurdistan,
guerilla, martyr and resistance'' encountered with
reactions of foreign delegates. |

Lawyer Renetta Hartmann assessed the practise as
hindrance to ' freedom of expression''. Lawyer
Hartmann said that detention of a translator in
charge, shooting of pictures in the general assembly
by polices and taking identity information's made
them very sad.
Stating that as lawyers coming from Europe they
could not sense shooting of pictures by polices in a
permitted activity, Lawyer Hartmann, said that ''
the events are neither compatible with democracy nor
human rights.''
' Chance should be given to peaceful thought'
Prof. Dr. Norman Peach also said that he had fallen
into confusion with running events in the general
assembly.
Stating that they could not make sense of attitudes
of police in the general assembly which
information's and emotions are shared intensely,
Peach, said that '' I could not make sense of such
power show and intervention of polices, I really
wonder what we did.
There is no lie here. Criticism was directed to
state in a scientific way.'' Stating that as a
German Deputy he supports entrance of Turkey to EU
but he get confused about reaction of state to
scientific criticism, Peach, emphasized that chance
should be given to people thinking peaceful.
