Sherko: We demand support from Kurdish
parties in Syria on next conference

spokesman of the Kurdish American council in Syria
'Sherko Abbas' called the Kurdish and Arab parties
opposition to participate in the Brussels Conference
on Syrian Kurds scheduled for next Monday

Abbas demanded in a dialogue with (AKI) Kurdish
parties in Syria to show "solidarity" with the
conference and its activities "and the lack of
separation between the activities of the Kurds
outside and inside Syria." The spokesman added : "We
do not flinch role of the Kurdish parties in Syria,
but we demand to support the conference and
non-release provisions prior to the conversation."
Abbas criticized the statements by the Council
(General Kurdish Democratic Alliance) from Syria,
which refused to support the declaration of the
Conference (National Council Kurds in Syria) and
rejected the participation of its members being the
legitimate representative of the Kurdish people in
Syria and not militants abroad.
The official spokesman of the Council at Washington
D.C, the surprise of releasing these statements
"while we are seeking to be one voice and get power
and influence with Arab opposition to play a key
role in the new Syria."
Abbas accused the Syrian government of attempting to
obstruct the course of the conference through the
recently imposed low "legally punished on the charge
of high treason if any Syrians participated in a
conference outside the country," because Syria,
according to the speaker, "is trying to save itself
from the collapse of the regime became imminent,"
Referring to recent crackdowns by the government
against opponents of the Syrian Kurds alike.
Abbas confirmed the participants in the next
Brussels conference the Kurdish parties (Yeketi) and
(Azadi) in Syria, He expressed his hope for the
participation of former Syrian Vice President Abd
Halim Khaddam and the uncle of Syrian President
Rifaat Assad, to be able to give a clear picture our
demands insted of reservation on this matter."
The spokesman confirmed that the American government
support their demands to establish a formal
organization representing the Kurds in Syria and
supported by the EU also because "our problem is the
problem of land and rights, there are 400 thousand
Kurds in Syria without citizenship."
