UAE company to
invest $50 million, Ericsson Company installs telephone switchboard
in Kirkuk
Sulaimanyiah, Kurdistan, Iraq, May 17, -- The Kurdish
Investment Promotion Group, KIPG, and the Emirates Enter-Group
Investment Firm have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on a
$50 million project. This project will be to construct a five star
hotel by the Sulaimaniyah International Airport, reported Kurdistani
Nwe, Wednesday, May 10.
The ceremony was held at the Convention Hall of the KIPG office with
the participation of the head of KIPG, Mohammed Ahmed, and Salman
Yousif, CEO of EnterGroup. Meanwhile the directory of the general
communication of-fice in Kirkuk stated Tuesday that the
international Ericsson Company has started executing
the project of installing a switchboard of 20,000 telephone lines.
“The project is of vital importance in the city due to the
deficiency in telephone services. It will also reduce the workload
on the old switchboards.
