Iraqi Kurdistan Government gets official
spokesman

24, – Iraqi Kurdistan regional government appointed Dr. Khaled Salih
as official spokesman of the cabinet to be the first official to
hold this newly created post.
Salih is the political advisor of Nechirvan Barzani, Kurdistan Prime
Minister.
"Mr. Nechirvan Barzani proposed me formally yesterday to his cabinet
to be the first spokesman of the government," Salih said
Salih is a holder of a Ph. D. in political science who went to
Sweden in 1981 before coming back to Kurdistan three years ago.
He wrote several books including "Formation of the Iraqi State" and
"The Future of Kurdistan in Iraq".

Khaled Salih, born in
Sulaimaniyah, Kurdistan, is Senior Lecturer in Politics at the
University of Southern Denmark. A specialist in Middle East
politics, he was a consultant for the Iraqi Reconstruction and
Development Council, served in Kurdistan as a constitutional advisor
to the Kurdistan National Assembly and Regional Government, and is
currently Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region.
