Qubad Talabani to visit Columbia 4.4.2006

(Columbia) April 2, 2006 - The son of Iraq's president is scheduled to be in Columbia Monday afternoon for a speech. Qubad Talabani, son of Jalal Talabani, will give a talk on the future of Iraq at 5:30pm at USC's law school. Talabani is a representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to the US which works with government officials, media and research institutions to give information and analysis on Iraq. The event is part of USC's Islam Awareness Week and is sponsored in part by the school's Muslim Student Association and Students Defending Democracy. Talabani's talk is free and open to the public.
