22 (KUNA) -- President of Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani welcomed
Saturday the breakthrough that was achieved yesterday to naming a
candidate for the Prime Minister's post.
"We heard about a breakthrough for the problem and we welcome it,
and hope the formation of a government of national unity be as soon
as possible," Barzani said at the opening of a cultural event in
Erbil.
The Da'wa party of the United Iraqi Alliance (UIA) named Jawad Al-Maleki
as its candidate for the Prime Minister's post to replace outgoing
Ibrahim Al-Jaafari. |
