Kurdistan-Turkey, (DIHA) -The call that Ocalan and
PKK should be talked with, was made in the Newroz
celebration which started with great enthusiasm in
Diyarbakir.
The celebration of Newroz held in Diyarbakir Fuar
Field started with great enthusiasm. Co-presidents
of DTP Ahmet Türk and Aysel Tugluk, Chairman of EMEP
Levent Tuzel, vice co- presidents of DTP Canip
Yildirim, Mayor of Diyarbakir Metropole Municipality
Osman Baydemir, chairman of DTP Diyarbakir Province
Ahmet Cengiz, chairman of SDP Filiz Kocali, members
of DTP PM and MYK, ex- deputies of DEP Hatip Dicle
and Selim Sadak, Murat Bozlak, deputy of AP Helin
Baba and Feleknaz Uca, chairman of ODP Hayri
Kozanoglu, vice president of International human
Rights Federation Akin Birdal, Novelist Mihri Belli,
chairman of IHD Yusuf Alatas, chairman of TIHV yavuz
Onen, ex-president of DEHAP Mehmet Abbasoglu,
ex-mayor of Diyarbakir Metropole Municipality
Feridun Celik, a lawyer from Bureay of Ages Law
hatice Korkut, deputy of Belgium Jan Beghin and many
novelists, journalists and politicians had reached
to field at 9.00.
The celebration was started by taking stage of
Mardin Culture Centre Children Group. One minute
homage was made for those who loosed their live for
struggle of democracy. The slogan of '' Long live
chairman Apo'' was shouted during homage.
Call for solution of Kurdish problem
Nejdet Atalay who gave start to program for Newroz
Arrangement Committee had hailed the mass by ''
Welcome to Newroz and referendum, welcome'', After
Atalay chairman of Diyarbakir DTP Province Ahmet
Cengiz by taking attention to problems Kurds have
said that in this century Kurds were deprived from
their rights arising from being human. The requests
of right and freedom are met with oppression and
barriers, and being exposed every kind of violence,
exploitation and massacre. He said that:
'' All dogmatic taboos should be left aside. The
realities should be accepted. Universal standards
should be taken as a core in this subject. The
approaches similar to approach of England to Ireland
and Spain to Bask should be used in Kurdish problem.
If there is a clash so there are sides. For this
reason if there is a need for meeting with Ocalan
and PKK for me it is, they should be talked with.''
Cengiz who took attention that the post which the
solution will be solved is TBMM called AK Party
government and TBMM to duty for solution of the
problem.
The mass got excited with songs of Group Koma Sevnim
which came from Iran after speech of Cengiz.
Huge poster of Ocalan was opened
8 meter sized poster of Ocalan was hang on to the
middle of field. Also many pancartes with writing of
HPG were opened. Hundreds of flags of Democratic
Confederalism, PKK and Free Women Movement were
opened. The pancarte '' Don't grapple with mountains
hopelessly PKK is everywhere' by Alternative Free
High school students had taken attention.
