Abu Dhabi, U.A.E,
- Biroz Jadir is a talented player who plays for
Zaxo club who didn't have good luck this season in
the Iraqi league after finishing in the bottom of
their "Northern group" table. Zaxo did have a
brilliant season last year in the Iraqi super league
but at the mean time, they've faced lots of troubles
in the Kurdistani super league where they've
relegated to the first division league which they
are currently participating in at the moment.
Zaxo is a really strange team in the world of
Kurdish football. This season, they've been doing
really well in the Kurdistani first division team
even though they've relegated from the Iraqi super
league which tell us that they can never do well in
the both competitions at the same time. It's either
we do well in the Iraqi super league and relegate
from the Kurdistani super league or vice versa. That
would probably be their theme i guess!
I've read an interview with their skillful and
well-built striker in the Kurdish "Ta'axi" newspaper
which is published in Arabic.
Q: How did you
become interested in football and when have you
started playing it?
A: I've been in love with the game since i
was a kid. I used to play it in the streets until i
made it to Zaxo's youth team and then got a call to
represent Zaxo team in both competitions the
Kurdistani league and the Iraqi federal league.
Q: What's the
reason of the instability found in your team?
A: Yes that's true. We've done really bad
last season in the Kurdistani super league and we
were relegated but we managed to do well this time
and we did qualify once again to the Kurdistani
super league and we are hoping to do better this
time.
Q: You've
received a call to join the Iraqi Olympic team but
you've refused to do so. Why is that?
A: Actually I've received that call from last
season but i rejected it because my family were
against it, but when i got a call to join the
Kurdistani national team squad, i was really joyful
and excited and we went to play in South Korea and i
was delightful to see all players on the team were
originally from Kurdistan.
Q: How many
goals have you scored so far this season?
A: I've managed to score 12 goals and i'm
already considered as the Kurdistani first division
league goal scorer despite missing some matches.
Q: How would you
evaluate Zaxo's performance in the Iraqi super
league this season?
A: Unfortunately it was awful! neither us nor
our fans are happy about it. We ended the season at
the bottom of the table therefore we shall be
participating in the Iraqi first division league
next season but i really think we were playing well
sometimes but luck wasn't on our side and the
referees decisions were awful against our side.
Q: Who do you
think is the best player in the Kurdistani league?
A: In my opinion, it's the Hawleri defender
and captain Rafid Badr El Deen who has played for
the Iraqi national team before and he is in the
Kurdistani national team list as well.
Q: Which
football teams do you cheer for?
A: I would go for Brazil. I enjoy watching
them a lot and i think that Ronaldo and Ronaldinho
are very interesting to watch.
Q: What are your
ambitions at the moment?
A: I wish that Kurdistan national team would
participate in the International tournaments and
events just like other international football teams
and i hope that i would be a member of its team.
