On 11 February, PWD-K
assistant coordinator Faysal Dunlayici (Kani Yilmaz)
and Serdar Kaya (Sabri Torin) lost their lives in
the course of a bomb attack. The bodies of the PWD
members were sent to the Kurdish city of Riha in
North-Kurdistan from Sulaimaniyah by the relevatives
of the deceased reported IHA news agency.
Halil Aytac, under his code name Abu Bekir, who
formerly served for PKK for many years talked about
the organisation. he stated that the organisation [PKK]
killed those who opposed to it.
A relative of Kani Yilmaz said, "He joined in PKK in
1976 as a professional. As the time passes, new
developments began to appear in Kurdistan, which
resulted in disputes and deviations within PKK. In
early 1994, we took our depart from the organisation
with a huge group. We went our own way to solve
problems in Kurdistan through establishing
dialogues. We have completed our tangible struggle
and now started our struggle in a political and
democratic stand, though we were threatened by PKK.
That was one of the actions of PKK; in other words
it does away with those who act opposing to PKK."
Another member of the group said that he condemned
the attack and that they would go on their political
struggles.
The Ex-PKK veteran left the group to form a new
organization with Osman Ocalan and Nizamettin Tas
called the Patriotic Democratic Party (PWD).
According to a statement on the PWD site, the PKK
was behind the attack reported Kurdishmedia.com.
“In consequence we repeat our call for National
Unity against these attacks by the PKK
administration steeped in its identity of
backwardness and ask this question of all those
patriots full of the love of Kurdistan: ‘How much
more blood must be shed to prevent these murders and
prevent the spilling of yet more blood!’” declared
the PWD Coordination.
The coffins of the deceased were wrapped in Kurdish
flags and being taken to cars by family members.
According to the Scotsmen Peter Stitt, this action
has
finished of the PKK. |

It’s not sure yet, who’s behind the attack. It could
be the PKK, it could be the notorious Turkish
intelligence service, it could be Al-Qaeda, etc. But
according to the Kurdish blogger Rasti we are
subjected to a great number of rumours, propaganda
and lies about the murder of the Kurdish veteran,
Kani Yilmaz and his bodyguard, in Sulaimaniyah city.
The case will remain a mystery.
