KIRKUK,
Kurdistan-Iraq (Feb 8), - A group of foreign
contractors travelling in three SUVs shot at a
passing car in the northern Kurdish city of Kirkuk,
killing two Iraqis, a police officer from Kirkuk
said.
"The foreign contractors were in three SUVs driving
from Erbil to Kirkuk and they shot at a passing car
in which two Iraqis were seated. The two died,"
Khairalla Abdullah said.
Foreign contractors usually drive speedily on Iraqi
roads and have been known to fire at passing
vehicles that they think are driven suspiciously.
At least nine Iraqis died in other rebel attacks
across Iraq Tuesday, while the US military announced
death of four marines who were killed in the last
two days.
The oil rich Kurdish city of Kirkuk is still not
under full control of Kurdistan Regional Government.
