KDP spokesman urges Korean companies to invest in Kurdistan-Iraq 9.2.2006

SEOUL, Feb. 9-- A Kurdish ruling party spokesman Thursday called upon South Korean companies to use the (Kurdistan) Kurdish region of Iraq as a bridgehead of investment in the war-torn country.

"Our region is secure and stable unlike in other Iraqi areas. So, we hope that South Korean companies will establish their offices there before moving into other Iraqi regions," Ibrahim Hassan, deputy spokesman for the Kurdistan Democratic Party, said in a press conference.
