BAGHDAD, Feb 13
(KUNA) -- Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zebari said
Monday he expected the next Iraqi government to be
very strong after fulfilling all the criteria needed
for that.
Speaking to reporters, he added that there were two
principles for forming a government including "the
speed with which the government is formed and the
make-up of the new government." He called for a
well-chosen government "to lead Iraq through the
current stage." He added that, in the next few days,
all the Iraqi parties that won seats in the new
parliament would make contact with one another in
order to form a new government of national unity.
He stressed that the Iraqi foreign ministry was
working hard "to extract Iraq out of the current
isolation," which was imposed upon him as a result
of the policies adopted by the former regime of
Saddam Hussein. |
