The Baker-Hamilton report is supposed to be the most
serious review and blueprint for the American policy
in the Middle East. It is not and it must not be
taken seriously, because it is, first of all,
immersed in immorality. It is immoral not just in
the Machiavellian sense of ends justifying means. It
is immoral in its ends, in the distortion of facts
and realities it has taken on to project those ends
as realistic, logical and inevitable. And it is
absolutely immoral in the means it suggests to
achieve these biased pro-evil ends. If the US
follows the course of the implementation of Baker’s
agenda for the Middle East, it means the end of the
US morally, ideologically and politically. And will
be in a much weaker position in military terms. This
21st century will be the century of America’s shame,
humiliation, retreat and decline. Baker looks at
Iraq from the exaggerating eye-glasses of al-Qaida
and other Islamic fascists, Sunni Ba’th murderers
and those who enjoy nothing more than killing
American soldiers along with daily massacre of
helpless women and children who wish for nothing
more than a normal life in a normal society that
respects their human rights.
Baker projects Iraq as a hell created by American
invasion that can only be redeemed if America not
only does leave Iraq but reverses all what the Iraqi
peoples have achieved on the road of democracy,
constitutional state and civil society. All the
principles of freedom, human rights, self
determination, peoples’ will and choices,
non-intervention of foreign states in other
countries’ legitimate democratic processes and form
of government, international fight against murderous
evil terrorism and despotism, etc which constitute
the basics of the American constitution , UN charter
and international Law and conventions, do mean
nothing for Baker and his pro-junta group. |

Dr. Kamal Mirawdeli. His activities in his homeland
Kurdistan region (Iraq)- among other things he was
the Chair of the Kurdish Writers Union - led to his
arrest on many occasions. Dr. Mirawdeli works

What does Baker tell the Kurds? Sorry, guys, we
don’t know what morality, alliance, friendship,
honesty, etc mean. These are words that have no
references in our dictionary of politics. Come on,
join al-Qaida and Ansar fascists and train your
fatherless anfal kids to become suicide bombers
indulging in blowing up our soldiers and your own
children, them we might think again and include you
in our realpolitik.
How far can some people descend in their brutal bias
and devilish dishonesty? Iraq is not so desperate.
It is still 80 percent democratic success. But it is
the US that has been undermining every successful
democratic achievement from the agreeing a
ground-breaking democratic provisional law to
democratic elections and democratic government to a
popularly supported democratic constitution, to the
demonstrated democratic will of the majority of the
people (over 80m per cent) to opt for a federated
non-centralised democratic structure that accounts
for historically, geographically and culturally
established specificities and national and local
characteristics?
With every democratic progress the fascists
intensified their violence because they knew and
know very well that the American success in Iraq is
America’s success in the world in the course of the
21st century and it is failure in Iraq means its
failure in Afghanistan, Lebanon, Darfur, Somalia and
even in Newyork and Washington to fight fascism and
terrorism. Yet, in stead of, as they claimed,
staying the course and empowering the Iraqis to
establish security, democratic structure and the
economic infrastructure that backs it, the
Americans, at every step, made concessions to Sunni
fascists in Iraq through their representatives in
other parts of the so-called Arab world and thus
only encouraged them to indulge in even more brutal
violence.
And now comes back a dinosauric Baker from the
relics of Cold War and the furnace of Arab oil to
reward the murderers, pacify fascists and say
good-by to everything that America claims in terms
of morality, rationalism and democratic principles.
This man has no respect for the blood of America’s
soldiers in Iraq or anywhere. He does not know the
meaning of humanity, fairness and friendship. He is
an anachronistic relic. Let him enjoy his Arabism as
such.
