BAGHDAD, December
9, -- Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said he agreed
with president of Kurdish region Massoud Barzani's
assessment as to Baker-Hamelton Report, according to
a statement issued Friday by his spokesman, Kameran
Garadaghi.
However, Talabani pointed out that there are some
acceptable points in the report such as handing over
security to Iraqi forces and holding talks with
neighboring countries.
From his part, Abdul Aziz Hakim, head of United
Coalition Bloc praised the report but considered it
needs more time to be studied seriously.
He added that the report included some invalid
information taken from unreliable
sources. |
