UK: A Kurdish man killed his English ex-girlfriend 1.11.2006

Newcastle, November 1, -- A 'HAPPY-GO-LUCKY' Cramlington nursery nurse was found dead in a Newcastle flat on Monday night.

Samantha Anderson, 29, who worked at the Buffer Bear Nursery in Newcastle, was found dead in her ex-boyfriend's flat in Vallum Court, Elswick, with multiple stab wounds.

Her Iraqi-Kurd ex-boyfriend, 29-year-old Ari Abdullah, has been arrested and charged with her murder and appeared before Newcastle magistrates on Wednesday.

It is understood Ms Anderson had walked from the nursery in Neville Street to Abdullah's ground floor flat in Vallum Court at around 8pm on Monday.

Samantha's parents, Peter and Valerie Anderson, sisters Dawn and Jacqueline and brother Gary, were left devastated by her death.

In a released statement they said: "Samantha was loved dearly by everyone around her.

"Samantha did no wrong, she could not harm anyone, being reserved she never passed judgement.

"At Buffer Bears, the children that were placed in her care could not have been more loved or cared for as she felt it a privilege to be involved in their upbringing.

"We can go through our lives knowing that she is there with us in everything we do."

Detective Superintendant Steve Wade, who is leading the inquiry into her murder, said: "Samantha's family have told us that she was a happy-go-lucky type of person, very thoughtful and creative.

"They are devastated by her death."
