According to several media sources the Sunni Iraqi
MP Saleh al-Mutlaq Al-Juburi, the president of
national dialogue front in the Iraqi parliament,
purchased vast amounts of properties owned by Kurds
in the Arabized areas of Daquq and Kirkuk province.
There has been a trend lately among Arab settlers of
purchasing Kurdish properties in Daquq.
Kurds are being paid large amounts that Farley
exceeds market prices to sell their properties. The
Arab officials in the Kurdish city of Daquq are
expediting this process.
Saleh al-Mutlaq is an Iraqi PM from the Jubur tribe,
known for his extremist and chauvinistic views
against Kurds and Shias.
The Jubur tribe lately sent delegation to Massoud
Barzani the president of Kurdistan region to promise
him their loyalty and offered the men of his tribe
to work as Peshmergas.
This could be one of the tactics to deceive the
Kurdish leadership; to stretch some time in the
enforcement of article 140 of Iraqi constitution. |

Saleh Al-mutlaq is being accused of getting his
finances from Saudi-Arabia, Turkey, Jordan and Syria
to destabilize Iraq and thwart the Shias and Kurds.
The stance of Kurdish leadership is still unclear
regarding this issue and there is some weakening in
the Kurdish position towards enforcing article 140.
* Saleh Muhamed al-Mutlaq is an Iraqi politician who
leads the Iraqi National Dialogue Front, the fifth
largest political list in Iraqi National Assembly
following the December 2005 general election.
He is a Sunni Arab secular politician who called for
the removal of foreign troops from Iraq. He was the
chief Sunni Arab negotitator over the constitution,
but led the Sunni Arab campaign against its
ratification when he failed to prevent the inclusion
of Shi'ite autonomous Regions.
