Turkey: An F-16 crashed in Diyarbakir

DIYARBAKIR,
Kurdistan-Turkey, Jan 30, (DIHA) - An F-16 type war
plane crushed training in the vicinity of Gonendi
Village, Carikli Town of Diyarbakir, but the pilot
rescued himself by jumping with parachute.
An F-16 type war plane crushed on an empty hill
while training on Diyarbakir. The pilot taking off
from the 2nd Tactic Department of the Air Force in
order to train flying could save himself by jumping
with parachute. While it has not been manifested why
the plane crushed, intense gasoline odour prevail
the site.
Fire brigade and health service have reached the
scene. Commanders from Department of the Air Force
are continuing inspection there.
