Racism towards Kurds in Holland?

Recently I was going to
a disco with some Kurdish friends. One might know,
that I am not a Kurdish, but pure Dutch. To my
surprise we couldn't come in for some lame excuse.
We should have had a sort of ticket, which could be
attained via their website. I was looking on their
website, but I saw nothing for getting such a
ticket/pass. I also read their rules, which say
that: "racism and discrimination is forbidden".
Isn't life ironic?
Earlier my friends were refused at other places too,
but only when they were with more Kurds. But when my
Kurdish friend was alone with some Dutch people,
they let them in easily. This kind of racism doesn't
only appears in discos, but also on work, school,
etc. I heard this from my mother, who used to work
on a school in the city.
And off course not only Kurds face this kind of
racism, but also Turks. So for one time, Kurds and
Turks face the same faith in the diaspora.
Does this have to do with the sobering climate,
because of the recent terrorist attacks in Europe?
Or other reasons? |

The Dutch minister of Integration, Verdonk said
people who face discrimination should go to the
police. Maybe I should do this too, although the
police won’t do anything.
In the meanwhile this Dutch minister wants to put up
a system that forbids speaking other-languages then
Dutch on the streets, which is in my eyes is also a
form of discrimination. It reminds me of a certain
country…
