The Iraqi American Chamber of Commerce & Industry in
cooperation with the U.S. Department of Commerce and
the organizers of World Ag Expo are working together
to take a private and public sector Iraqi delegation
to World Ag Expo February 14-16.
"It is with great pleasure to lead a delegation from
Iraq, and in the past our members responded very
enthusiastically to CONEXPO and WEFTEC and we expect
the same response from them to World Ag Expo.
We have already received an initial ok from the Iraq
Agriculture Ministry in Baghdad and the Kurdistan
Regional Government Agriculture Ministry to send a
public sector delegation along side the private
sector delegation" stated Raad Ommar, CEO,
IraqiAmerican Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
This year's delegation to World Ag in California
will include 21 members, 16 of which are Iraqi
businessmen from the private sector, 2 are former
officials from the Kurdistan Regional Government's
Ministry of Agriculture, 2 are representatives from
the Iraqi American Chamber of Commerce and Industry
in Baghdad, and a representative from the commercial
section of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
Delegates are interested in a wide range of
agri-businesses, including purchases of agricultural
implements and pesticides to dairy, irrigation
technologies and poultry production processes.
