Gulf firms plan to invest in Kurdistan-Iraq:
Businessman
ERBIL, Kurdistan (Iraq) Jan 7 (KUNA) --
Several Arab Gulf firms, mainly from the UAE, plan
to invest in Kurdistan-Iraq, a Dubai-based Kurdish
businessman said Saturday.
Aref Ramadan, who has been living in Dubai for the
past 18 years, said that he is visiting the
Kurdistan region at the invitation of Kurdish
businessmen who seek to benifit from the Dubai
economic and constructional experience.
Ramadan said that companies intending to invest in
Kurdistan range from those specializing in
foodstuffs, cooking oil, baked goods, carpentery and
tourism, pointing out that everyone is awaiting the
endorsement of the investment law by the Kurdish
National Assembly (parliament).
He hoped that Kurdistan would organize specialized
fairs at least once a month.
