Kurdistan regional
government (KRG) coordinator for the United Nations
affairs Dr. Dindar Zebari is now in London to hold
meetings with the British senior officials,
Europeans and the UN head offices in Geneva,
Brussels, Paris and Vienna next week in an effort to
update these diplomats on the crucial developments
in the Kurdistan Region.
The purpose of the visit at this particular time is
to enhance the international support for the UN
activities in the northern part of the country
Kurdistan region and to stress the key role that UN
offices could play in building a new federal,
democratic, pluralist Iraq.

Kurdistan Regional Government is now working closely
with the United Nations Agencies and the
international organizations based in the north to
achieve the best for the region. In the meantime,
KRG ministries are now working hard on in house KRG
preparation for reception of the UN agencies that
are already resumed activities, in Kurdistan.
Under the new Constitution, the Kurdistan Regional
Government will be involved with the fundamental
political and development decisions for Iraq as a
whole. Additionally, in 2006, the UN is scheduled to
enlarge its offices for northern Iraq based in Erbil,
the largest city in the Kurdistan Region.
