Soldiers uncover the mass grave in Kulp,
Turkey-Kurdistan
DIYARBAKIR
24 Sept (DIHA) - After the weekly newspaper
Azadiya Welat published in Kurdish released a news
saying there is a mass grave of 9 guerrillas in Kulp,
the soldiers uncovered the graves and took the
bones, said the locals.
Investigations at first
A shepherd stated that the soldiers came to the spot
and did investigations around the grave two days ago
after the news published by the weekly Azadiya Welat.
He said hundreds of soldiers came there again the
following day and took the bones in Kulp.
The shepherd said there were intensive security
precautions around the grave so they only could
follow the event far from the spot. He said the
soldiers are still there

The news in question had been made public the
previous week by the Azadiya Welat newspaper.
According to the news the corpses of 9 PKK
guerrillas killed by the TSK soldiers in 1998 during
a clash were mass graved. The news was based on the
statements of a witness of the event and the names
of the 6 guerrillas were revealed.
Forest fire after bombings

Sept(DIHA) - A forest fire has been reported after
the Görmeç Village, known as Birava among the Kurds,
was bombed by the TSK soldiers.
According to the local sources, the TSK soldiers
bombed the village with howitzers last night during
the military operation going on in the region
populated completely by Kurds villagers. During the
bombings, a forest region was set fire and the fire
is still going on, said the sources.
The Armenian Conference is protested by the
nationalists and Labor party fans
ISTANBUL 24 Sept
(DIHA) - A group of protesters formed by the
nationalists and fans of Labor Party came to the
Bilgi University, where the postponed Armenian
Conference is to be held, and protested those coming
to the conference.
The nationalist protesters gathered in front of the
Dolapdere Campus of Bilgi University before the
conference and shouted slogans such as 'Either love
or leave'. After a while another group of protesters
holding Turkish flags and a placard saying 'The
Armenian Genocide is an international conspiracy'
joined to the former group. They frequently shouted
slogans saying 'The government resign', 'Tayyip to
America', 'We do not want to Soros in the
universities' and 'Either liberty or death'.
Giving a speech, the province chairman of Labor
Party Erkan Önsel claimed that the aim of the
conference if to divide the national state. He said
the rectors of Bogazici, Sabanci and Bilgi
Universities should immediately resign.
On the other hand the protesters booed to the
ex-deputy and ex-leader of SHP Erdal Inonu coming to
the conference.
The conference is expected to be launched in Bilgi
University where there are dense security
precautions while the tension is still on peak.
