Province building of DEHAP is attacked
VAN 18.Sep
(DIHA) - After the Police Station in Van was
attacked by gunmen, the administration building of
Van DEHAP was attacked by faceless people as well.
The police officer Korhan Ekiz lost his life while
being taken to the hospital after he was wounded
during the police station's being attacked in Van
the day before. The other wounded officers
Abdurahman Demir, Mehmet Tamiş and Yücel Açıkkapı
were taken to the University of Yuzuncu Yil Research
Hospital.
After the attacks the city had to hear noises of
another attack. The building of Van DEHAP was
attacked by faceless people. The party building and
Dengbêjs' House of Serhat Culture Center got
damaged. The witnesses said the attack was done by a
group of 8 armed people.
The young are said to be pushed to drug
HAKKARI 18.Sep
(DIHA) - A youngster Ersin İrçin, aged 18 from
Yüksekova, a county in eastern province Hakkari,
claimed that his father and uncle were died due to
drugs maintained by the police. He said the police
directed him to use drug as well.
His mother Şükriye İrçin said 18 people have lost
their lives so far due to the drugs and wanted the
necessary precautions to be taken.
The İrçin family is just one of the many families
fallen in the drug swamp. Losing her spouse and
brother from drug, Şükriye İrçin now struggles to
rescue her son who is in the same swamp as well. The
police and drug sellers are collaborating to direct
the dwellers to the drugs, said she.
Call for claiming the young
Blaming İ.M. and S.Ç for selling drug to the young,
Şükriye said: "We reported the sellers to the state
officials. The users are our children. They are
being poisoned for 5-10 million (Less than 10
dollars). We want the officials to rescue our
children. They made our life a hell. I do not let my
children go out. When they go out they are returning
fainted. Altough I reported them many times nobody
is interested in the situation. They killed my
husband and my brother. Now they will kill my son.
Everybody knows that the police officers are
responsible for that but nobody talks about that.
The police say they are looking for the drug sellers
but the sellers are wandering in the city freely.
The police caught the sellers in my home while
selling drugs to my son and husband but they were
released the other day. Once one of the officers
said ' Use the drugs and die like dogs and do not
come here once more'. I have applied to many offices
so far. Two police officers A. and S. came to our
home and gave drug to my husband and went. My family
suffered most from the drugs. I will struggle to
rescue my son. I am calling all the people to claim
their children. 18 people lost their lives because
of the drugs. Their families should prevent them."
Who is in the deal?
Ersin İrçin claimed that İ.M. and S.Ç are the people
providing drugs for him. İkram is working for the
Narcotic Branch of the Police Department. He
receives drugs from the state and sells to the
young. He is selling the drugs from 5 to 20 YTL. The
police officer called S. was bringing drugs to İ.
and his brother and they were selling them to the
young, said Ersin.
The soldiers become part of the deal
"The master sergeant K.K. is receiving and
delivering drugs in his home till late hours at
night. He knows the sellers. I myself brought drugs
to him. I was staying there till late hours. There
are more than 15 youngs all of whom are very young
in this business. There was a guy called C. A., the
first receiver of the drugs. He was arrested after
we reported him. He is now in prison in Hakkari. His
father who was a seller, was arrested as well. We
reported İ.M. and S.Ç but they are still moving
around freely. The officers take them into custody
but we again see them selling drug sin the city. I
am afraid of going out because they will give me
drugs as soon as they see me." said Ersin.
Pharmacy sells pill without receipt
A pharmacy in Yuksekova was selling pills without
receipt despite the regulations banning these pills'
being sold unless signatured by a doctor. In 2004
İ.M. and S.Ç came home gave Zanaks to my father and
uncle. They got worse and died after they used the
drugs which can only be purchase if the doctor says
so. But we were going to the pharmacy and easily
buying the drugs.
