'Kurdish problem will determine Turkey's fate'
Giving information about the meeting, Mr. Nadir
Yıldırım claimed the Kurdish problem will determine
Turkey's fate. "In such a time in which historical
processes are being experienced, Turkey is face to
face with many domestic and external impositions on
her. Most od the times the institutions of the state
itself is trying to manipulate the truth. It is of
great importance that the Kurdish community express
their demands and give reaction against the lynch
attacks and racist practices in many cities and
counties." said Mr. Yıldırım.
'The Kurdish community wants to declare its
demands'
Mentioning to the importance of the meeting for the
Kurds on Oct. 2, Mr. Yıldırım said: "The deadlock in
the Kurdish problem and the state's not taking step
for the democratization has incriminated the
democratic struggle of the Kurdish community for the
difficulties undergone in the process of entering
into the EU. In that sense, with the meeting on
Oct.2 the Kurdish community wants to declare its
demands in its democratic struggle castle,
Diyarbakır." He said the meeting will be a reply to
the Turkish PM Erdogan as well. The increasing
military operations and the insulation practices on
the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan will be asked to
be stopped in the meeting
Call to the meeting
Indicating that a Turkey which solves her domestic
problems and catch up with the European norms in
terms of democracy and human rights is the actual
demand of everybody, he said: "Thus we say 'YES' to
EU for the democratic resolution of the Kurdish
problem. We are calling all our people to attend the
meeting to warn the forces not taking our demands
seriously and to raise the struggle of democracy to
a higher point."
