Turkey-Kurdistan: The leader of DEHAP answers the roll with sign 1.9.2005

ANKARA (DIHA) 31.Aug- The leader of DEHAP Tuncer Bakırhan signed the muster roll in Ankara Police Department together with the part executives in accordance with the 'legal control' decision.

Responding the questions of the journalists after the sign, Bakırhan said he had made an objection against the decision and hoped to the court to evaluate the objection positively and remove the political shame.

The legal control decision has been taken by the Ankara High Criminal Court as a result of which the leader of DEHAP Tuncer Bakırhan, the vice leader Veli Büyükşahin, Central Executive Board members Muammer Değer, Orhan Miroğlu and Mehmet Tusun came to the Ankara Police Department and signed the muster roll. The other executives Hüseyin Yılmaz and Hatice Çoban signed the roll in Izmir and Alican Ünlü in Tunceli as they dwell on there.

The leader of DEHAP Bakırhan evaluated the decision banning them to travel around and sign the muster roll as limiting both their political activities and freedom. He claimed the court to try to eliminate his party's works before the opening of accession talks on October 3.

'I hope they return from the shame'

Reminding their objection to the decision, he said: "I hope they evaluate the objection positively and return from the political shame."

On the other hand, he said there is not a problem as it is claimed by the newspapers about the relations with DTH (Democratic People Movement). "We have been trying to support the activities of DTH so far and we will support them until they organize a political party."

He also said they are concerned about the recent events causing people to flock the streets. He said: "We hope these showenist practices do not give harm to the relations of people living together for centuries."
