Election campaigns laws approved (Al-Taakhi)
The Independent Electoral Commission for Iraq has approved the laws for election campaigns. All political parties are free to conduct election campaigns under the laws, Farid Ayar, a media expert for the commission, said. He said that election campaigns must not foment ethnic, religious, sectarian, tribal or regional disputes and that no government properties may be used for campaigning. He also warned that candidates must not bribe voters to influence their decision.

Three Million Referendum Posters Printed
(Asharq al-Awsat)
The Independent Electoral Commission for Iraq will hang three million posters around the country to educate people about the referendum scheduled for mid-October. One set of posters will be printed in Arabic, another in Kurdish and the third in Arabic, Kurdish, Assyrian and Turkmen. "The posters were printed to assure an inclusive campaign nationwide in order to educate people and give them accurate information on voting," Farid Ayar, a media expert for the commission, said.
