Arbil - Leaders in the two major parties of Kurdistan region have announced the creation of press committees specialized in directing the citizens of the region for voting with (Yes) in the constitutional plebiscite, which the country is preparing for.

This came after a broad meeting, in which representatives of 47 political parties, gatherings and movements in the region have participated. It was held in Arbil Sheraton Hotel to discuss the constitutional issue. Despite the conservations of some participants of the meeting with regards to the constitution draft, they agreed on uniting efforts so that the constitution would receive the biggest number of votes in all areas of the region.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Mahmoud Mohamed, the leading member of the Kurdistani Democratic Party and Azad Jendiani, member of the National Democratic Union, have held a press conference, in which they announced the necessary tendencies during the coming stage.

The creation of the supreme committee for the plebiscite and other subsidiary committees in the provinces, districts and areas of the region has also been announced, for the purpose of following up with the constitutional press campaign.

It is worth mentioning that representatives of various Kurdistani parties have participated in the meeting, which has been attended by Kurdish, Turkmani, Chaldean and Assyrian trends, in addition to the secular and religious trends in Kurdistan.
