Protest vigorously against the
detention of editor in chief of the Kurdish weekly "Midya"
in Hewler
To all responsible authorities in Kurdistan and to
the Kurdish media and the general public in
Kurdistan:
Herewith we protest vigorously against the detention
of Mr. Ako Mohamed, editor in chief of the Kurdish
weekly "Midya" in Hewler.

We consider this apprehension as an act to be used
against journalists by totalitarian and dictatorial
states, violating human and civil rights and
violationg the right of expression of opinion and
freedom of the press.
We demand the immediate release of Mr. Ako Mohamed,
and we demand to prevent the Kurdish secret service
Asayish to behave like a copy of the secret services
of Ba'ath.
