UNHR envoy arrives in Kurdistan-Iraq 28.8.2005

 

ARBIL, Aug 28 (KUNA) - UN envoy for Human Rights John Baji arrived here on Sunday and was received by the Kurdistan Regional Government Coordinator to the UN Dr. Dindar Zebari.

In a press statement, Zebari said the envoy's one-week visit is dedicated to reviewing human rights status in the region that suffered genocide and chemical warfare.

He explained that the regional government is planning on compensating the persons harmed by the former regime's acts
