Geneva, August 9, - The Kurdistan Regional
Government Coordinator to the UN Dr. Dindar Zebari
met International Organization of Migration Director
General Mr. McKinley.
Dr. Zebari and Mr. McKinley discussed how to
increase IOM operations in Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan.
Dr. Zebari requested assistance in the development
of the Kurdistan region and expressed the KRG
willingness in international organizations
assistance that focuses on the development of
regional capacities to effectively and efficiently
address urgent and important matters pertaining to
the public interest. Mr. McKinley ensured the
Kurdistan regional government coordinator of his
organization willingness to start the rehabilitation
and reconstruction programs in Kurdistan region
soon.
Mr. Pasquale Lupoli director of department of
operations support and also Mr. Hassan Abdel Moneim
Mostafa regional advisor for Africa, the Middle East
and Southwest Asia – External relations department
of operations support attended the meeting.
