Talabani cancels a decision issued by the
Electricity Minister

Knowledgeable sources
have informed 'Baghdad' that Dr. Jalal Al Talabani,
republic president, has cancelled the ministerial
decision, which was issued by Dr. Muhsen Shelash,
electricity minister, on discharging his deputy
Salam Sa'ed Qazaz.
The president Talabani considered that the
electricity minister's decision of discharging his
deputy has been an unexpected and surprising matter
as Al Qazaz has been appointed in this position upon
an agreement between the government and the
Kurdistani National Union to distribute portfolios
and the positions of deputy ministers. Therefore,
his decision of discharging him is 'nullified'. |

It is
worth mentioning that by the beginning of this
month, Dr. Mohsen Shelash has issued a decision to
discharge his deputy Qazaz without disclosing the
reasons for this discharge. A question is posed:
Would the electricity minister execute what the
republic president has demanded? Or would he
maintain his decision of discharging the deputy
Salam Qazaz?
