Baghdad – A
statement of the Iraqi Republic Presidency announced
that the Iraqi president Jalal Al Talabani would
head to the United States soon.
He would meet with the American president George
Bush before participating in the meetings of the
general assembly of the United Nations on September
5th and 17th.
In the statement, Kamran Qurra Daghi, spokesman for
the republic president said, "Pre4sident Talabani
would soon go on an official visit to the United
States.
He would meet with the American president George
Bush in Washington, in addition to a number of
American officials." He added, "Talabani would
afterwards head to New York, on top of the Iraqi
delegation that would participate in the meetings of
the general assembly of the United Nations, which
would include a number of Iraqi ministers and top
officials.
He would deliver the speech on behalf of Iraq,
during the meetings of the general assembly of the
United Nations."
