Iranian refugees camp would be transferred to Kurdistan-Iraq 15.8.2005

 


Minister of the Displaced and Immigrants: Al Tash Camp for Iranian Refugees would be Transferred to  Kurdistan (North of Iraq)

In a special statement for Al Iraq Al Youm Newspaper, Mrs. Suhaila Abd Ja'far, minister of the displaced and immigrants, stated that Al Tash camp for Iranian refugees, which lies on the Iraqi-Iranian borders, would be transferred to the north of Iraq, near the Iraqi-Iranian borders.


She added that the decision of transferring this camp came after the meeting that took place in the ministry headquarters with a number of the representatives of these refugees that took place in the ministry headquarters, where they explained the extent of their suffering in the current camp location.

She pointed out that the ministry has obtained the agreement of Kurdistan government for the transfer of the camp.

She pointed out that this camp was created in 2003 after the fall of the regime and Iranian refugees were moved to it with their families.

She confirmed that the supreme commission for the refugees' affairs is supervising this camp.
