He confirmed "the significance of national accord in all fields and the adoption of strong cordiality and civilization coexistence among the constituents of the Iraqi people, in addition to the sovereignty of law in constructing the new Iraq."

Talebani has called the Arab Sunni scholars to adopt situations that are stricter with regard to "terrorism and all criminal acts". He addressed the delegation, "You are in charge of the responsibility of enlightenment and clarifying the facts before your people and confront this distortment of cause by terrorists in the name of Islam and Muslims."

As regards the arbitrary detention that the members of the delegation have complained from, Talebani said, "We have to put an end to these acts. From now on, no person is to be arrested, unless upon a judicial order and in the presence of the mayor of the region."

Talebani has promised the members of the delegation "to retrieve the real estate owned by the Sunni Mortmain, returning the Sunni mosques to their people, and exerting utmost efforts for defending the sacredness and holiness of mosques."

On his behalf, Al Samera'e, president of Sunni Mortmain department, has condemned "all forms of terrorism and criminal acts that target the innocent."
