More than 350
apartments to be built in Sulaimaniyah
(Kurdistani New)
The Sulaimaniyah Aadministration of Iraqi Kurdistan
has started implementing a residential project
called the New City. The project will consist of 358
apartments, along with services and facilities such
as parks, sport stadiums, swimming pools, computers
and the Internet. Prime Minister Omar Fatah of the
Sulaimaniyah administration said that this project
will help provide basic service for 358 families who
so far don't have housing.

Kurdistan Asked to Form Board for Kirkuk
(Al-Iraq al-Yoom)
Hameed Majeed Moosa, a parliament member and head of
the normalization committee for Kirkuk, asked the
president of the Kurdistan region to hasten forming
a supreme board for normalizing issues in the city.
The board will include members from the Kurdistan
regional government, the federal government, and
Kirkuk city. He said the board will be responsible
for settling issues in Kirkuk as per Article 58 of
the interim law.

Talabani Meets Defense Minister
(Al-Mutamar)
President Jalal Talabani and Defense Minister Sadoon
al-Dulaimi met to discuss a security plan for
bringing stability and peace to Iraq. Al-Dulaimi
said the president has approved the plan and trusts
the capability of Iraqi forces in eliminating
terrorism. He also criticized Syria for not
controlling its border with Iraq, saying insurgents
still infiltrate from Syria. He asked the Kuwaiti
government not to embarrass Iraq by the unwise
procedures they have taken lately, asking them to
use dialogue to solve any disagreement with Iraq.

Mass Wedding in Irbil
(Xebat)
Under the Irbil administration of Iraqi Kurdistan,
25 couples had a wedding ceremony in the city's main
stadium. Officials and relatives of the couples
attended the event where there were singers and
families performed traditional dances.

Talabani Condemns Attacks in Egypt, Offers
Condolences
(Baghdad)
President Jalal Talabani said in a telephone call to
President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt that there must be
joint measures taken by all Arab states to eliminate
terrorism, from which the whole area suffers. He
sent his condolences to the Egyptian people and the
president, condemning the terrorist acts that
targeted the civilians, and affirming the solidarity
of the Iraqi and Egyptian people. Mubarak thanked
Talabani and renewed his support for the political
process in Iraq.

Media Asked to Rely on Parliament's Constitution
Press Releases
(Al-Mada)
Hachim al-Hasani, head of the National Assembly, has
asked media outlets to rely on the press releases of
the head of parliament and the head of the committee
to draft the constitution regarding the writing of
the charter. He said all other statements from other
officials about the constitution represent their own
viewpoints and opinions. He said this will help
avoid confusion in the process.

Law for Saddam Court Amended
(Al-Mashriq)
New amendments to the law for the court to try
Saddam Hussein and his regime's men allows foreign
judges and consultants to work at the court. It also
prohibits assigning any Ba'athists to work in the
court. The new law, which contains eight chapters
and 40 articles, states that the name of the court
will be the Supreme Iraqi Criminal Court. No one,
including the president, has the authority to
intervene in the decisions taken by the court, which
should be executed within 30 days.
