Art: Kamkars Kurdish band to perform in
Germany, Kurdistan-(Iraq) and Spain

LONDON, July 6 -
Noted Iranian musical group called The Kamkars will
soon perform concerts in Cologne in Germany, Iraqi
Kurdistan and in Madrid, Spain.
The band, which is led by Hooshang Kamkar, will
perform in Iraq's Kurdistan on July 23, SYNA
reported.
The second performance of the group will be staged
on September 3 in Cologne Stadium, which has a
seating capacity of 50,000.
The venue of the group's third performance will be
Madrid (on October 1).
The band will perform new pieces with Hooshang
Kamkar as producer, Saba Kamkar as vocalist and
Maryam Ebrahimpour also as a singer.
For the first time Hooshang Kamkar will perform a
musical piece based on a poem by a black Latin
American poet, Langston Hughes (1902-1967), titled
'silence of the Earth’ which was rendered into
Persian by Ahmad Shamlou.
The Kamkars will use musical instruments of Black
Africans for this performance.
The group will release a CD titled ’Orad’ in Germany
next week.
