President Jalal Talabani
has arrived in Sulaimaniya to negotiate with Iraqi
Kurdistan President Massoud Barzani on the issue of
unifying the two Kurdish administrations of Erbil
and Sulaimaniya. It has not been decided when to ask
Najrivan Barzani, prime minister of the Erbil
administration, to form the new, united Kurdish
government. But Fouad Masoom, a member of the
political bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan
and a member of the National Assembly, said it will
be formed soon.

Deputy PM: Syria Isn't Only One to Blame
(Al-Mutamar)
Deputy Prime Minister Abid Mutlak al-Joboori said
Syria is not the only one to blame for the
infiltration of insurgents, as Iraq should bear
responsibility, too, and control its borders. He
said Iraq will use diplomatic channels in dealing
with controversial issues with Syria.
He added that cooperation with the Syrian security
authorities is necessary to stop the activities of
insurgent groups, which take Syria as a base to
enter Iraq. Meanwhile, Iraqi Foreign Minister
Hooshiar Zeebari has assured that democracy in Iraq
will not affect or harm neighboring states, hoping
that the new scheme of Syria will help in solving
disagreements and stopping the infiltration of
insurgents.

the crimes when he was in charge of the intelligence
