ISTANBUL (DIHA) - Bursa Prosecutor's Office has
refused the application by attorneys of Kurdish
People's Leader Abdulah Öcalan to converse with
their client, on the ground Imrali-9 coaster has
still been broken. One of Öcalan's Attorney's, Aysel
Tugluk argued that the justification was contrary to
law and said,
"We are thinking that a new policy has been made effective. In addition,
we have not been served on any official notice
relating with Öcalan's retrial. Our expectation is
in line with retrial, because introduced quite
strict evidence to the European Court of Human
Rights".

Öcalan to make their weekly usual converse with
their client has been rejected by Bursa Prosecutor's
Office, as Imrali-9 coaster is out of order. One of
Öcalan's attorneys, Ayse Tugluk told DIHA that they
would not able to interview their client the day
after tomorrow, either.
"Our application to converse with Abdullah Öcalan has been rejected as
Imrali-9 coaster is broken. The coaster, which was
broken last week, has not been repaired and could be
repaired by week end. That is the reason why a
converse will not be able to be held tomorrow.
A technical problem's taking so time causes us to think that a new policy
has been implemented" Contradiction with law That
technical problems in Imrali-10 Coaster which is
allotted to the attorneys for their transportation
to Imrali in stead of Imrali-9 Coaster has not been
removed yet shows a deliberate policy, explained
Tugluk and added, "We have not been able converse
with Öcalan for last 4 weeks.
Although the Justice Ministry announced that we can
apply to the prosecutor's office for the converse
every Thursday and Friday, obstacles on the way to
interview has not been lifted yet. Besides, the
converse has been hindered even where there were no
technical problems, for Thursday and Friday ran
counter to the military planning.
That is the reason why we have been thinking that a
wholly new policy has been applied. These problems
can be solved, but they are not being removed. This
is a new policy as Mr. Öcalan stated" "We are
waiting for retrial adoption" Apprising the news
featured in the media in accordance with Öcalan's
retrial, Tugluk underlined noted that every one is
discussing the matter save her client. "It is Mr.
Öcalan who should argue the matter, our converse
with him has been hindered.
We, as attorneys, must talk to Mr. Öcalan to
instruct him of what has been discussed. So far up
to now, we have not received any official notice
related to Mr. Öcalan's retrial; yet, our
expectation is in line with retrial.Because, we
introduced strong evidence to the European Court of
Human Rights (ECHR). The trying in Turkey was
already not trying, for a large number European
Convention on Human Rights articles were infringed
upon. We are expecting a retrial decision".
